We are looking for a Healthcare Pharmacy Assistant / Counter Assistant, preferably with experience. However, training can be provided for the right candidate with a positive attitude & willingness to learn.

Purpose:
To be the first point of contact for all customers.
To serve customers appropriately and sensitively.
To provide patient advice within scope of training and refer to pharmacist where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming customers in a professional and friendly manner.
To receive prescriptions from customers and ensure they reach the dispensary in a timely manner.
Answering and dealing with telephone queries appropriately.
To ensure that the pharmacy environment is welcoming, professional and clean at all times.
To respond to symptoms described by customers by following agreed protocols and using your own knowledge and judgement.
To select and recommend suitable products and provide advice to patients presenting with symptoms and or minor ailments.
To ensure the safe and correct transfer of dispensed items to patients and to patient representatives.
To identify medicine related problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the Responsible Pharmacist.
To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines.
To assist with stock control/management and the maintenance of reasonable stock levels within the pharmacy.
To assist with the engagement of patients onto services where appropriate.
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of over the counter remedies and minor ailments by reading journals, product information and training resources.
To ensure the pharmacy is kept clean and tidy at all times.
To assist in providing Pharmaceutical care to patients by carrying out reasonable duties as determined by the pharmacist. To ensure that the cleanliness of the pharmacy is maintained to the highest standards at all times.
Personal Specification:
A warm, friendly and professional attitude towards customers.
We are looking for an individual whose empathetic and tactful with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good time management and organisation skills.
Excellent team working skills with the ability to work independently within reason.
To be working towards, have completed or willing to complete an accredited MCA training course under the guidance of the Pharmacist.
Experience of working in a retail environment is desirable, however training will be provided to the right candidate.
Ability to follow instructions and a willingness to learn, as training will be ongoing.
Experience of money handling, till operations and maintaining finance records.
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Salary: 10.00 - 12.21ph Schedule: 8 hour shift- Mon-Fri: 9am-6.30pm, Sat: 9am-4pm.
