Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and kitchen. Help with the presentation of food items to enhance customer appeal. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions and perform basic maths for order totals. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic culinary skills for food preparation are advantageous. Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
