Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a positive dining experience. Assist in food preparation, adhering to food safety standards to ensure quality and hygiene. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Handle cash transactions and maintain basic maths skills for accurate billing. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication. Provide help to customers with any inquiries or special requests regarding menu items.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food safety practices. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. A friendly demeanour with the ability to engage positively with customers. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
