Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Counter Assistant. As a Counter Assistant, you will play a key role in providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring smooth operations at the counter.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service at the counter

- Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the system

- Prepare food items such as fish, chips and burgers to customers

- Food prep such as potato prep, handling raw produce, following prep instructions accurately

- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register

- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the counter area

- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed

- Upsell additional menu items or promotions to customers

Experience:

- Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant setting is required

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions

- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently

- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure

- Cleaning and health and hygeine duties

Rate of pay is dependant on age and experience, and is always above minimum wage. You will be paid weekly into your bank account. In addition to your hourly rate you will be paid Holiday Pay each week.

Pay: 10.20-12.82 per hour
