Starting Salary: \xc2\xa355,916 with the opportunity to progress to \xc2\xa362,589 pa (pro rata for part-time) - Pay increase pending
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term Contract

We are recruiting to a Fraud Manager role within our highly respected and award winning anti-fraud service in Hertfordshire.

We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual who is passionate about fraud prevention, detection, and investigation in local government .

This is an exciting role for someone to develop a business case to expand on our current service offering and to build an entirely new function which will deliver anti-fraud functions to numerous organisations across the Country.

At the Shared Anti-Fraud Service, we protect the public purse from the constant threat of fraud.

Working with Councils and other organisations across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, we provide advice and guidance regarding fraud and corruption, undertake proactive counter-fraud exercises, data-analytics and also deliver training and awareness.

We now want to expand and offer our services to organisations beyond local government. The person filling this role will lead on the establishment and delivery of this new service.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be actively involved in all aspects of our counter fraud operations, assuming responsibility for establishing and leading a team of counter fraud specialists, working with clients negotiating contracts for work and ensuring delivery of those contracts.

You will be the lead officer to design and implement a fully costed business case for the latest development for the Shared Anti-Fraud Service.

You will be driving forward partnership working and identifying opportunities to work effectively with other Local Authorities. You will represent SAFS when engaging with Law Enforcement agencies, Central Government bodies and other Local Authorities.

ACFS/ACFM/PIP/Member of the Government Counter Fraud Profession.

Prince 2 (equivalent project management qualification) or relevant experience

The SAFS is a highly respected and award winning service. This role offers the successful applicant a great opportunity to build a completely new element of the Shared Anti Fraud Service whilst ensuring that we continually improve the level of service delivered. This role also offers the opportunity to build and lead a new team from scratch.

Whilst we are based in Hertford, we have a very flexible approach enabling us to work from anywhere, encouraging a healthy work life balance.
