As a Counter staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers have a positive dining experience while adhering to food safety standards and culinary excellence.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space.
Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for billing.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards at all times.
Provide assistance to customers with any inquiries or special requests.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with culinary practices and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer interaction.
