Job Description
Bowland Stone is a leading manufacturer of paving, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and other hard landscaping products. Our site near Temple Meads features a comprehensive Landscape Centre and Builders' Merchant. We are currently seeking a full-time Sales Counter Assistant to join our Bristol branch, providing exceptional service to both retail and trade customers across these areas.
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, motivated Sales Counter Assistant to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for our retail and trade customers, handling orders in person and over the phone, providing excellent customer service, and helping to drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve customers efficiently at the counter and over the phone. Process orders, follow up on quotes, and handle enquiries. Support proactive sales and business development, including cross-selling. Maintain stock, displays, and overall presentation of the sales counter. Assist with daily banking and other operational duties as needed.
Skills & Experience:
Previous sales experience within merchant or landscaping products with excellent customer service skills. Good communication skills with a range of customers. Basic IT skills (Word, Excel) and attention to detail. Self-motivated, reliable, and a strong team player. Knowledge of landscaping or building products is an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 32,000.00 per year
