Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Staff to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customers receive their orders promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in customer service and food preparation.

Duties

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the counter Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards Assist with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring quality and presentation standards are maintained Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems with precision Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including sanitising surfaces regularly Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times Provide friendly and professional service to all customers, addressing any queries or concerns promptly Support kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Skills

Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately Ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers Previous experience in serving or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer experience and sales performance
