Job Description

We require a counter staff assistant to work in a busy branch that sells external plastic building products i.e. guttering, pipework, underground soil pipe, double glazed window, doors and patio doors etc.

The job requires heavy lifting, as some our fascia boards, guttering are 5m in length. Must be IT literate, as all sales are done via SAP and POS systems. Product knowledge of building industry is preferable. Clean driving license is required, as there may be instances you need to deliver goods to customers address using our delivery van. Good customer service skills are required as you will be advising and selling to customers our core products. Have counter/ serving experience. Mon - Fri 7.30am to 4.00pm & Saturday 8.00am to 10.30am
Summary
As a Counter Staff, you will be a vital team member responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient delivery services. With core skills in communication, you will effectively interact with customers and team members to meet their needs. Your premium skills in merchandising and being /bilingual will enhance the customer experience and drive sales. Utilizing your relevant skills in time management, phone etiquette, and organizational skills, you will excel in managing orders, handling heavy lifting tasks, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Possessing a valid driving license, you will also be responsible for safe and timely deliveries, making you a valuable asset to our team.

Responsibilities



Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and transactions. Manage inventory and merchandising to ensure product availability and presentation. Safely operate a vehicle to deliver goods and services as required. Utilize strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Perform heavy lifting and maintain organization within the workspace. Demonstrate time management and phone etiquette while handling customer calls and scheduling.
