Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and care during transit. Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely arrivals. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any changes to the schedule. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including sorting and organising packages.

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience with vehicles is advantageous. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence is essential.
