CAMBRIDGE Multi-drop Delivery Driver role

MWB or LWB van (no small vans)

Average of 80-100 stops per day

Day rate of 170 + 20 (daily bonus)

Requirements:

LWB / MWB Van owned OR ability to lease one

Correct courier insurances

25k goods in transit insurance

If you do not have your own van we can direct you to a hire company with a good rate.

We can also direct you to credible insurance companies if needed

Some experience in multi drop is preferred

Duties

Operate a van to transport goods efficiently and safely to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays promptly to the relevant parties. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of deliveries. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during the delivery process.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is essential. Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage, as well as knowledge of local delivery routes. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
