The Courier Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive their packages promptly and in excellent condition.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload parcels, ensuring that items are handled carefully to prevent damage. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting any issues encountered during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working order. Assist in warehouse duties when required, including sorting packages and preparing them for dispatch.

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, preferably with knowledge of commercial driving regulations. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is required. A valid residency or right to work permit is necessary. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when loading and unloading parcels. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, enhancing overall efficiency in handling deliveries. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
