Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of goods, ensuring that all packages are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

Drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver small packages and also larger boxes to various locations. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform heavy lifting of packages, ensuring proper handling techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times and locations. Assist in loading and unloading goods at the warehouse or delivery points. Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is advantageous. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules. Capability to perform heavy lifting, as some packages may be large or cumbersome. Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
