Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the process. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

- Safely operate a van or similar vehicle to deliver packages and documents to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of items while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures when necessary.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to organise deliveries efficiently and manage inventory as needed.

Skills

- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management is essential.
