About the Role:
As a
Course Leader in Sport and Public Services
, you'll take on a dynamic and rewarding role with comprehensive teaching responsibilities focused on Further Education. Your passion and expertise will directly shape the learning journey and future success of our students!
Inspire and deliver!
Lead engaging, well-structured lessons across Sport or Public Services, including designing schemes of work, preparing and delivering exciting sessions, assessing progress, and shaping the curriculum.
Lead with purpose.
Take ownership of course leadership, contributing to curriculum development and ensuring learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their best.
Make learning personal.
Tailor your teaching to meet the individual needs of students, maintaining excellent attendance records, promoting positive behaviour, and fostering a focused and inclusive classroom environment.
Be a mentor and guide.
Support students' academic journeys and pastoral needs with care and confidence, offering guidance, encouragement, and referrals where necessary. Play a key role in writing learner reports and references that open doors to future opportunities.
Raise the bar.
Set, mark, and track coursework and assessments consistently and on time, always upholding high standards for student work, conduct, and commitment.
Strive for excellence.
Embrace continuous improvement by engaging with the College's staff development and lesson observation programmes to refine your teaching practice and drive outstanding results.

Essential Qualifications:
Education to Level 3 or above and/or a relevant professional qualification in Sport, Public Services, or a related area.
Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (e.g., GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent).
A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to complete one within 3 years of appointment.
Essential Experience:
Proven experience of course leadership and/or curriculum development in Sport or Public Services education.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Experience in planning schemes of work and supporting others in lesson planning to meet quality assurance standards.
Ability to deliver across both
Level 2 and Level 3 programmes
confidently and competently
