Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises.

The areas we would covered will range from Newport up to Pontypool and across to Cardiff and the valleys. Depending on the distance travelled, we will agree payments for fuel. You must own your own vehicle for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to ensuring environments are safe, tidy, and welcoming. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior janitorial experience or those eager to develop their skills in commercial cleaning. The position is fully paid and suitable for organised, reliable applicants committed to high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces in accordance with health and safety standards Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and replenished as needed Follow specific cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas meet organisational standards Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during cleaning activities

Skills

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is essential; additional training will be provided for the right candidate Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work Good organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable with a professional attitude towards cleanliness and hygiene standards Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
