BTCT Points 7-9, Starting on Point 7. Actual Salary: 22,510.67 per annum



Fixed Term Contract for 24 months



Bridgwater College Academy is seeking a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our team. Putting students first is part of our fundamental culture. About the role:



This role involves the supervision and guidance of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. This role will also involve invigilating exams and accompanying staff and pupils on educational visits. The post would be excellent training for anyone considering a career in teaching specifically or working with young people in general.

Key Responsibilities:



Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups. Manage student behaviour in accordance with Academy policies. Ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.

The successful applicant will be able to relate positively to young people, managing behaviour to ensure they have a supported, constructive learning environment. We are seeking individuals with an understanding and a high personal level of emotional intelligence, as well as the ability to use their own initiative and to work collaboratively with others. Ability to manage behaviour confidently and effectively.
