Salary: 100 - 130 per day (dependent on experience)

to support Secondary Schools based in the borough of Barking and Dagenham on a short and long term basis. If you're motivated, flexible and ready to step into the classroom, we want to hear from you!
Cover Supervisor - The Role:
Supervising a class during the short-term absence of the class teacher
Delivering pre-prepared lessons, ensuring pupils stay on task
Supporting students across a variety of subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4)
Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Supporting students to engage in their learning
Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons
Cover Supervisor - Job Requirements:
Experience working with secondary-aged students is essential -
ideally within a school setting
Ideally
degree-educated
or working towards a degree (or equivalent)
Experience working with children or young people (schools, clubs, tutoring, childcare etc.)
A specialism in a subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, PE)
is welcomed but not required
Confident communicator with excellent classroom presence
Reliable, adaptable and able to work at short notice
An enhanced
DBS on the update service
(or willing to apply for one)
An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education is a bonus!
