Key Responsibilities:

• Cover Supervision: Lead classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and structured learning environment.
• Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere for students.
• Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to the unique needs of students with SEMH requirements, adjusting your approach to meet individual learning styles.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the teaching staff and support teams to maintain effective communication and contribute to the overall success of the school.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or working with students with SEMH needs is advantageous.
• Qualifications: A relevant degree or teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Passion: A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of students with SEMH needs.
• Resilience: The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with a positive and proactive attitude.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
