About The Role:

Helston Community College, part of Truro and Penwith Academy Trust,

is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a confident, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor, supporting students during short-term teacher absences.

What You'll Do:

Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment; Support students in their learning by following set lesson plans and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement; Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to promote student progress and wellbeing; Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
What We're Looking for:

A confident individual who can relate well to students aged 11-18.

Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Previous classroom experience is not essential, however some experience of working with young people in a supportive capacity is preferred.
