We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisors to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a Grade 5 permanent role, working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The pro-rata salary is 24,998 and full time equivalent is 29,064.

Main purpose of the job:


As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning for our students by delivering pre-planned lessons during the short-term absence of teaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a classroom environment and contribute to the wider life of our school.

Key responsibilities will include:


Delivering engaging, pre-set lessons to whole classes Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment Assessing student progress during cover lessons and updating records as required Supporting students across a range of subjects and activities Supporting curriculum areas and pastoral teams when not covering lesson
Providing additional support to curriculum and pastoral teams

Essential qualifications & experience:


Good literacy and numeracy skills (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) Experience working with or caring for children or young people Understanding of the national curriculum and basic learning strategies A calm, adaptable and positive approach to managing student behaviour

About Us
