Working under the direction of the Cover Manager, you will supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the work set by their teachers.
You will not be expected to teach new content, but you will manage the classroom, uphold school policies, and provide guidance to help students complete their tasks successfully. Key Responsibilities
Supervise students and ensure work set by teachers is completed.
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Respond to student questions about processes and procedures.
Collect completed work and return to the appropriate teacher.
Manage classroom behaviour using school strategies.
Support students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are upheld.
Keep accurate records as required by the school.
