110 - 120 per day + Pro Rata

Quantum Scholars are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time position offered on a long-term supply basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.



This will be a perfect role for someone aspiring to be a teacher or just wanting to gain classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor before undertaking your teacher training!

Role Responsibilities:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:


Supervise and manage a classroom during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils remain on task Promote a positive learning environment and ensure school policies are followed Manage student behaviour effectively and respond to incidents in line with the school's behaviour policy Report back on student progress and any issues to relevant teaching staff Support students with their learning, encouraging engagement and participation Take part in training and staff development opportunities as appropriate

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who have:


A strong presence in the classroom with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting A calm and professional approach to managing behaviour and building rapport The ability to adapt quickly and take initiative in a dynamic school environment Available to start in September 2025 Must have a Right to Work in the UK - Sponsorship is NOT available.
