Cover Supervisor - Stockport
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: 89-110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson material in the absence of the usual class teacher. This role requires someone who can maintain classroom engagement, encourage independent learning, and uphold behaviour policies.
Main Responsibilities:
Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and 4
Maintain a focused and respectful classroom environment
Support pupils with their tasks and provide feedback when appropriate
Communicate with teaching staff about pupil progress and incidents
Adapt to cover various subjects depending on daily requirements
Candidate Essentials:
A degree or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
Previous experience in a school, youth work or coaching role
Strong classroom presence and confident communication skills
Calm, professional, and reliable under pressure
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
