About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable
Cover Teacher
to join our team and provide high-quality classroom supervision in the absence of regular teaching staff. The successful candidate will ensure that students continue to learn effectively and remain engaged in their studies.This role is ideal for qualified teachers, early career teachers (ECTs), or experienced cover supervisors who enjoy working across a range of subjects and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across different subjects and key stages. Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment. Support students to remain focused and on task. Follow school policies and procedures on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment. Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
Requirements:
QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring/classroom experience. Strong communication and classroom management skills. A flexible, reliable, and professional attitude. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
