Job Summary:



We are looking for a skilled and empathetic COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinator to join our team. This role involves working across various clinic locations and conducting home visits to administer vaccinations to patients. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering essential vaccination services, ensuring both clinic-based and homebound patients receive high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:



Administer COVID-19 and flu vaccinations to patients in clinics and at their homes, adhering to established safety and clinical guidelines. Perform pre-vaccination assessments to ensure patient eligibility and address any medical concerns. Educate patients about the vaccines, including potential side effects and aftercare, both in person and over the phone. Accurately record and maintain patient vaccination data, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Monitor patients for any immediate post-vaccination reactions and provide appropriate care or referral as necessary. Maintain a sterile and safe environment for vaccination procedures, following infection control protocols. Travel to multiple clinic locations and patients' homes, coordinating with other healthcare professionals to optimise scheduling and service delivery. Adapt to varying demands and schedules, including working evenings and weekends when required. Stay informed on the latest guidelines and recommendations related to COVID-19 and flu vaccinations. Assist with the setup and management of vaccination clinics and support other team members as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:



Registered Nurse (RN) or another qualified healthcare professional with relevant immunisation or vaccination experience. Proven experience in administering vaccines, with a thorough understanding of related protocols and safety procedures. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and compassionate explanations to diverse patient groups. Ability to manage time effectively, work autonomously, and adapt to dynamic schedules. Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits. Up-to-date training and certification in CPR and First Aid. Previous experience in a similar role within community healthcare is desirable.

Additional Information:



The role may involve travelling between patient's homes. Mileage reimbursement will be provided. Please note mileage is not reimbursed for travel to clinics. Successful candidates will undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and may be required to provide proof of vaccination status.
