Hugh Black & Sons Ltd is one of Scotland's leading retail butchery businesses with over 30 years trading experience, 13 retail outlets throughout Central Scotland, a Manufacturing Factory in Bathgate, West Lothian as well as a Boning Hall within Wishaw Abattoir.

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver with a valid CPC to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods from our Bathgate factory to our retail shops.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. This will require a good degree of physical fitness. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with warehouse staff regarding any issues or delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with warehouse duties, including inventory management, organisation of goods and light cleaning duties.
Requirements

Valid driver's licence, including CPC; experience as a Van Driver is preferred. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while on the road. Willingness to assist with warehouse tasks when not driving, demonstrating flexibility in job responsibilities. This is a physical job and will require some heavy lifting. Forklift Certified (preferable not required)
Hours

5am start each day Monday - Saturday (day off Wednesday) From 30 hours to full time
