Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CPCS or NPORS FLT/Telehandler to assist our Client on a new build housing site.

The Telehandler will be responsible for operating a telescopic handler to lift, move, and place bricks and materials on the construction site. This role requires a keen understanding of machinery and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety and efficiency while ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Duties

Operate the telehandler to lift and transport materials safely across the site. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the telehandler to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material handling tasks. Assist in loading and unloading materials from lorries and storage areas. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as they arise. Engage in digging tasks as required, demonstrating versatility in job functions.

Experience

Previous experience operating a telehandler is essential. A valid UK driving licence is preferred as you may be driving on roads. Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for performing maintenance tasks. Experience in construction or related fields will be considered an asset. A proactive approach to safety and an ability to work effectively under pressure are crucial for success in this role.

Contract length: 8-10 weeks

Pay: 19.00-21.00 per hour
