The successful candidate will be required to train, support and assess individuals across a range of crane and lifting programmes including Slinger/Signaller, Crane Supervision and Appointed Person. Experience of working, training and assessing both within the Construction industry and in a crane/lifting environment, are essential.

Main Responsibilities



TRAINING AND TESTING DELIVERY

Deliver Slinger/Signaller, Crane Supervision and Appointed Person training and testing to our customers both onsite and at the CAT Solutions Plant Training Centre - Glasgow Training and testing to the delivered to the standards required by Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) and National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) Maintaining and promoting Health & Safety protocols for all participants during training sessions Complete all necessary training and testing documentation accurately for auditing and verification purposes Keep up to date with changes in legislation (relating specifically to construction Health and Safety)
SVQ ASSESSOR

Ensure learners are inducted on to the construction related SVQ programme and are fully aware of assessment methods and procedures Plan and agree assessment plans with the learner Assist learners in identifying evidence that is Valid, Authentic and Sufficient to demonstrate competence Conduct site-based observations of learners demonstrating competence in the workplace Assist the learner with portfolio building and evidence gathering Give prompt, accurate, constructive and documented feedback to learners Record the outcomes of assessment using the appropriate documentation Monitor the progress of learners ensuring all are receiving the correct support, development and assessment opportunities

Essential Skills and Qualifications



Relevant Teaching Qualification (PTLLS) CPCS or NPORS Instructor Accreditation D32/33, A1 or Standard 9 N/SVQ Assessor Qualification Previous construction experience Previous teaching experience IT knowledge (Use of Microsoft Office Packages) Excellent communication and time management skills Current UK driving licence

Working Arrangements



This is a regional role across Scotland. Travel is essential.
