Job Summary

Sadlers Waste Ltd are seeking a reliable and physically capable Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our waste transfer yard. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling equipment and safety procedures to ensure smooth operations and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate various materials handling equipment. Load, unload, and organise materials on site. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management. Transport materials using commercial driving skills when required, adhering to all safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of materials movement and storage locations. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any faults or damages. Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during handling activities. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience in materials handling within waste transfer yard. Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating a 360 material handler/grab. Competence in commercial driving with valid licences preferred. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory management. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical fitness to lift heavy loads and perform manual handling tasks safely. Good communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors effectively. Working Hours - Monday - Friday 07:00-17:00 Optional Saturdays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
