Our Club

Slinfold Golf & Country Club has some of the best golf and health & fitness facilities in the South East of England. These include an 18 hole golf course and a 9 hole academy course, swimming pool, three fitness studios, state-of-the-art gym, luxury beauty treatment rooms, creche and club lounge.

The Position

4 hours per week, on a Saturday (9am-1pm)
Preferably level 3 childcare qualification
All year round, i.e. this is not a term time only position
Own transport needed due to location
Position subject to an enhanced DBS check

Overall Objective of the Position:

To work as part of a team caring for children from 4 weeks to 7 years.

Demonstrate warmth and respect for the children and encourage their interests by giving them opportunities to develop through social, physical and educational play.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A) Ensure a caring and stimulating environment is provided for children that takes account of individual developmental needs and enables children to reach their full potential

B) Ensure the Creche is set up correctly before the children enter and at the end of each session ensure the room is tidy, clean and equipment is stored safely

C) To ensure that each child receives a welcome, attention and care when they come into the creche and help put parents at ease when they leave their children

D) Assist with the development of communication skills, motor skills, problem solving and social skills

E) Assist with basic hygiene, nappy changing and toilet training

F) Liaise and communicate effectively with parents/carers in a friendly and supportive manner

G) Undertake all of these duties ensuring the right to confidentiality of the staff, parents/carers and children involved in the Creche

H) Promote equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practice within the Creche

I) Ensure children are collected by someone known to the creche

J) Record accidents on accident form for parent/carer to sign and

K) Identify any relevant training needs in liaison with the Creche Manager

Health and Safety

To have a clear knowledge of procedures to be followed in case of emergency e.g. Fire

Be aware of, and comply with, Creche policies and procedures and COSHH regulations.

To ensure the creche is kept clean and hygienic at all times and carry out cleaning duties throughout the day including sterilising of toys etc.
