About the Role



We're proud to be launching The Creative Academy, a bold new cross-college initiative that connects students with Sheffield's vibrant creative and cultural industries. The aim is to give learners access to real-world experiences, meaningful employer engagement, and co-designed learning that reflects current industry practice.



As Creative Academy Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting this work. You will coordinate the delivery of enrichment activity, employer engagement, and collaborative projects across our creative curriculum areas. You'll work closely with internal teaching teams, creative professionals, and partner organisations to help grow Sheffield's creative talent pipeline, and ensure students gain the insight, inspiration, and connections they need to thrive in creative careers.



The role has been approved by our Executive Leadership Team as a fixed-term post (12 months) to help embed and evaluate the impact of the Creative Academy during its launch year.

Main Responsibilities

Take responsibility for coordinating and servicing the Creative Academy advisory board, ensuring regular, purposeful engagement with a range of creative industry professionals, organisations, and partners. Lead on the development and delivery of an annual programme of enrichment activities, including events, visits, placements, and guest speakers that are aligned to curriculum intent and industry pathways. Act as the designated liaison for internal teams and external creative partners, building and managing productive relationships that support student progression and curriculum enrichment. Lead the identification and engagement of new and existing creative partners, generating opportunities that enhance the Creative Academy's reach, relevance, and visibility across the city and region. Plan and coordinate a varied programme of creative enrichment activities, including podcasts, workshops, and city-based initiatives that connect students meaningfully with the creative and cultural sector. Monitor and evaluate the impact of Creative Academy activity, collecting qualitative and quantitative feedback to support continuous improvement and evidence of outcomes. Promote the work of the Creative Academy and represent the College at relevant local, regional, and national forums, championing the creative industries and supporting strategic engagement. Lead the development of promotional materials and digital content to showcase Creative Academy activity, celebrate success stories, and drive engagement with students, staff, and external partners. Collaborate with curriculum teams and industry professionals to coordinate co-designed and co-delivered learning experiences that reflect current industry practice. Work in partnership with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Skills Academy to promote entrepreneurship, self-employment, and freelance readiness within the creative industries.

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between 31,885 - 35,849 per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
