Creative Arts Faculty Support Assistant_ *_ Secondary School | Lambeth*
Join a dynamic secondary school as a Creative Arts Faculty Support Assistant, providing vital day-to-day support across a vibrant and varied Creative Arts department. This is a long term , full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
This role also often leads to training opportunities either at the school via School Direct or via PGCE route.
The role supports multiple subject areas including PE, Art, Food, Music, Design & Technology, and Drama, working alongside existing technician support to strengthen faculty capacity and ensure smooth delivery.
About the Role
The Creative Arts Faculty Support Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the efficient organisation, coordination, and practical running of lessons and events within the faculty.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Creative Arts Faculty, including organisation, printing, resources, and supporting internal systems
  • Assist with practical lesson support where appropriate, including set-up and preparation of activities
  • Provide occasional internal cover supervision for short-term staff absence when required
  • Support the planning, coordination, and smooth running of key faculty events such as the Spring Concert, Sports Day, and Art Exhibition
  • Work collaboratively alongside existing technicians to enhance day-to-day operations and delivery
Requirements
  • Organised, reliable, and proactive individual with strong attention to detail
  • Confident supporting a busy faculty with multiple subject areas
  • Comfortable working flexibly and responding to changing priorities
  • Experience in a school or education setting desirable but not essential
  • Interest in creative arts, sports, or practical subjects advantageous
