Creative Artworker position for an independent medical communications agency based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

I am recruiting for a medical communications agency that is seeking a talented Artworker to support the production of artwork files, offer creative solutions and collaborate internal teams to ensure the smooth delivery of artwork. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, while adhering to content and design guidelines, to create master artwork files.
  • Developing high-quality print-ready and digital files, ensuring they are adaptable for localization and meet accessibility standards.
  • Consistently following brand guidelines across all projects.
  • Ensuring compliance and a streamlined workflow by adhering to established procedures.
  • Working with master documents and translation tables to produce accurately translated final artworks.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of artwork files and providing constructive feedback.
  • Managing the print and delivery of projects, meeting client deadlines with precision.
  • Building strong relationships with printers and other suppliers.
Key Skills:
  • A keen eye for layout design coupled with robust print production experience.
  • Proficiency in accessibility design principles.
  • Strong layout skills and knowledge of design for localization.
  • Solid typographic skills.
  • Adeptness in troubleshooting design files for potential errors.
  • Exceptional technical abilities, including the setup and adaptation of stylesheets.
  • Mastery of Adobe CC suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Competence in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • In-depth understanding of print techniques and production, encompassing both traditional and digital formats.
  • Familiarity with screen and print resolutions.
  • Proficiency in photo retouching.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of digital delivery methods.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Numerical acumen, with the ability to organize and obtain quotes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work efficiently under pressure, meeting tight deadlines with composure.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Effective teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management aptitude.
  • An inherent passion for continuous learning and skill development.
