PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: up to 80,933 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


The Creative Diversity Lead - Operations is a key role in the Creativity Diversity operating model, you'll be a decisive leader with strong people management skills, managing Creative Diversity commitments, funding, resources, and compliance whilst embedding inclusive production principles across all genres and locations.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT




Provide strategic and operational leadership for the day-to-day delivery of Creative Diversity priorities, managing a team of Business Advisors (Band D) across the UK. Monitor the implementation of the BBC's Inclusive Production Principles, ensuring they are applied consistently and effectively across all productions across the UK. Lead the strategic management and allocation of Creative Diversity development funding to support underrepresented production talent, inclusion initiatives and funding access requirements, with responsibility for tracking spend and demonstrating the impact and reach of investment. Oversee the collection, validation and reporting of Creative Diversity data, including Diamond, 50:50, and internal Creative Diversity monitoring (e.g. 80m commitment and 25% production target), working closely with Content Planning, Data Analysis and Tech teams. Identify and deliver operational process improvements that strengthen commissioning and production efficiency. Partner with Finance, Legal, Commissioning and Production to align operational policies, budgets, and timelines with creative diversity commitments. Work as part of the Creative Diversity senior leadership team, collaborating with Creative Diversity Leads to provide joined-up strategic direction. Collaborate with Workforce Diversity Leads as required to ensure alignment and impact across the BBC.




YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA




Proven experience as a senior line manager with responsibility for performance management, development and wellbeing of direct reports with demonstrable experience managing geographically dispersed teams to deliver strategic objectives. Expertise in operational leadership, production compliance, funding oversight and creative diversity data monitoring An understanding of production workflows, commissioning and breadth of understanding across all protected characteristics and underrepresented groups. Strong knowledge of industry diversity monitoring standards such as Diamond and TV Access Project access funding protocols. Proven data literacy, able to interpret and apply insight to operational decision-making and present to senior leaders. Project management qualification and budget management experience at a senior level. Disclaimer
