What's the Job?
We're looking for a passionate and innovative creative professional lecturer to join our dedicated team within the Business, Enterprise, Digital Technology and Creative Industries curriculum to inspire the next generation of creative practise students.
Lecturers are responsible for delivering all aspects of creative industries -related subjects such as art, sculpture, photography, media and engaged practice as well as planning, preparing, delivering and assessing a range of qualifications from SCQF Level 6 to Level 10 to our students in a College that aims to be one step ahead.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a dynamic creative individual who has a wide range of knowledge of contemporary creative practices.
Has the ability to plan, devise and delivery high quality teaching in areas such as fine art, graphic design, digital media and other creative disciplines.
Create innovative teaching materials, including reading assessments lists, digital handouts and projects.
Integrate digital and traditional techniques to enhance the learning experience.
To succeed in the role, you will have some or all of the following:
Evidence of successful professional experience within a creative practise filed.
Knowledge of materials, skills, contemporary influences in Creative Practise.
Ability to support students in developing their artistic skills, critical thinking, and professional practise.
Ability to inspire students to create self-directed project work in a wide variety of media underpinned by own professional experience.
Exhibition and curation experience desirable but not essential
Previous teaching of this subject at HE is required.
You will be educated at SCQF Level 11 or above with a Minimum of Masters in Contextual Creative Studies or related field.
Strong customer service/ organisation/ teamworking/ relationship building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.
Hybrid Working can be accommodated.
Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job-specific software/systems
