The Role of Creative Programme Leader -

Scarborough based - A creative spirited individual

Creative Day Care is recruiting for a Creative Programme Leader to deliver creative classes and digital engagement for adults with learning and other disabilities. You need not have a care background but must naturally care with a great creative and confident spirit that can inspire others.

To fit well in the existing small team, you will ideally have a creative spirit with a 'hands on' approach and the ability to flow between activities and projects that are running throughout the day/week, and assisting where needed.

If you have a creative skill this would be an advantage, however, having the right nature and spirit is key for this role.

You will also be required at times to work at our other branches in Hull and Driffield.

Working hours will generally be Monday to Friday day times, although there may occasionally be the need to work a weekend.

Many people with a learning, intellectual or physical disability have lives that stand still - it's our mission at Creative Day Care to facilitate members' full engagement in a multi-dimensional rich life: at the heart of the 'Creative Days' programme is creative expression, drawn upon by the passion and authentic relationships led through our Creative Programme Leaders.

The programme is semi-formal where members come-and-go between various projects through their day. Our communities at The Street in Scarborough, The BGCA Charity in Hull, and our brand new Driffield branch at the Twydale Business Park are recognized for an atmosphere of genuine warmth where members are never lost, but feel valued from their first hour, and have much family integration. Members come for a day and often choose to stay through their lives - we are a long-term cornerstone and often the entirety of their 'social world'. Creative Day Care aims to be contemporary, relevant, unbureaucratic, and notably different from alternatives. We promote member independence alongside purpose and belonging.
