Job Title: Creative Studio Leader
Location: SPVR Arcade LTD
Hours: Approx. 8-20 hours/week (with potential increase during busy periods)
Rate: 12.21 - 12.50
Availability: Must be available weekends and some weekdays
About the Role:
We are looking for a Creative Studio Leader to take the reins of our vibrant, family-run art studio. This senior, hands-on role is perfect for a passionate and organised individual who can lead with creativity, confidence, and care. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the studio, leading workshops, and contributing to the development of our creative programme and team culture.
As a key figure in our business, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a space where creativity and community thrive, while keeping things efficient, safe, and engaging for all our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support workshops, events, and birthday parties with creativity and confidence
Plan and manage the monthly calendar of studio activities and classes
Offer creative input and contribute new ideas for projects and programming
Prepare and organise workshop materials (e.g. cutting templates, prepping tools, washing brushes)
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked studio space (inventory, ventilation, tool upkeep)
Foster a warm, fun, and inclusive atmosphere for customers of all ages
Manage studio setup for workshops and parties, including music, layout, and ambience
Take photo and video documentation of studio activities for internal and social media use
Lead and contribute to weekly social media content creation
Keep up with trends in the local art and craft world to inspire new projects and classes
Flexibly support other areas of the business when needed
Adhere to and enforce all health, safety, and safeguarding policies
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar creative or educational environment
Strong knowledge of visual arts across a variety of mediums
Confident and engaging personality with experience leading workshops or classes
Excellent time management, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
Highly self-motivated with a proactive and problem-solving approach
Creative thinker with a positive, can-do attitude
Manual dexterity and attention to detail developed through studio or art school practice
Flexible availability, especially on weekends and some weekdays
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Art or teaching degree
Experience working with children or running creative parties/events
Studio buying/procurement experience
Knowledge of pottery and handling clay
Basic photo/video skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with 3D digital art software
Barista experience - a plus for supporting hospitality at events
