Job Description


Plan, coordinate, and revise material for publication across our social platforms and website. From concept creation to delivery, the ideal candidate will be an extremely talented copywriter that can develop and utilise the brand TOV to coincide with its established, strong visual identity. An idea\xe2\x80\x99s person that can immerse themselves in the brand\'s digital world, creating engaging individualistic copy and content across all touch points, driving and developing brand awareness from a unique point of view.

As the Creative Writer you will work closely with the Creative Directors, Head of Digital and wider Digital Team to create brand toolkits to ensure consistent on-brand content is always created.

You will be passionate about creative storytelling and writing impactful and distinctive copy to constantly evolve the way we connect with our customers and Rat & Boa community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation
  • Ensure a supply of high-quality, engaging content and copy that is able to maintain the publishing schedule of the weekly journal, website and all other social platforms
  • Write persuasive and engaging copy for fashion-related content, including product descriptions, journal interviews, social media captions, website copy, marketing materials, and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop content that aligns with the brand\'s unique tone of voice and target audience.
  • Conduct thorough research on fashion trends, industry news, and brand-specific information to ensure accurate and up-to-date content.
  • Editing and Proofreading
  • Review and edit fashion-related content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that all written materials maintain a high standard of quality and are error-free.
  • Work closely with our Social Media Manager to ensure seamless integration of written content with visual elements.
  • Brand Consistency
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging and tone across various channels and platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop and refine brand guidelines, style guides, and editorial standards.
  • Ensure all written content adheres to the brand\'s identity, values, and guidelines.
  • Trend Analysis and Research
  • Stay updated on the latest fashion trends, industry news, and consumer insights.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and best practices.
  • Apply knowledge of fashion trends and consumer preferences to create relevant and compelling content.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, design, and social media, to develop cohesive campaigns and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designers, photographers, and other creative professionals to align written content with visual elements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a fashion copywriter or editor, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of fashion industry trends, terminology, and consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), editing tools, and style guides.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for optimizing content.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box to develop fresh and innovative content.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism, English, Communication, Fashion, or a related field is preferred
