Credit Analyst – Hard & Soft Asset Finance
Job Description
I'm representing a leading global financial services organisation in asset finance seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join their growing UK team.
You'll be responsible for delivering timely, well-balanced credit decisions (up to 500k ticket size) within your underwriting authority, while supporting new business applications above mandate with sound recommendations. You'll work across multiple business units, underwriting both hard and soft assets from a wide range of introducers (vendors, suppliers, dealers, and brokers).
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with short turnaround times (average 4 hours), while maintaining a structured and analytical approach.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse financial, asset, market, legal, and contractual information
Prepare clear, well-structured credit write-ups
Partner with sales teams to ensure smooth deal flow and great customer outcomes
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including KYC)
Contribute to portfolio quality and risk committee discussions
You'll bring:
Experience underwriting or analysing transactions in banking or asset finance
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure
Clear communication skills - both written and verbal
