Credit Controller and Finance Assistant - \xc2\xa321-30k DOE - Preston Brook (Runcorn) - 25 days holiday - 8:30am-4:30pm - Discounted gym membership

An exciting opportunity has arisen, due to growth, for a Credit Controller and Finance Assistant to join a fast-growing Services Business, based close to Warrington.

The role would suit both senior/experienced candidates, as well as those looking to start their journey within finance from a customer service background with some exposure to Credit Control and would see you joining a friendly team.

Part time will also be considered (Min of 30 hours per week)

Sales Ledger and Credit Control

  • Running periodic invoices from the Management System and processing to the Sales Ledger
  • Processing manual sales invoices and credit notes in a timely manner
  • Processing direct debit collections and set up new mandates
  • Preparation of consolidated invoices and customer portal uploads
  • Resolving customer queries including liaison with sites
  • Debt collection activities including reminders, monitoring agreed payment plans and non-payment follow on actions
  • Keep customer details on the financial system accurate and up to date and advise the servicing site of changes impacting the Management System
Cash Ledger
  • Receipt and payment allocations and reallocations
  • Follow up unallocated cash and reconciling items
Other
  • Expenses, Credit Card and Penalty Charge Notice, checks, processing, and payment administration
  • Support general office administration including answering the telephone, responding to emails, and opening the post
  • Support continuous improvement in all processes and where applicable specific projects
  • Provide cover for other members of the finance team when necessary
  • Adhere to the strictest confidentiality standards with regards to all company financial and salary matters. Treat all financial information as confidential and commercially sensitive.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by department managers, including those related to ad hoc events or projects that may occur from time to time.

  • Confidence using excel to manipulate data
