Due to the departure of one our long-serving and highly respected team members, we currently have a vacancy for a full time

Credit Control Assistant

(37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

) to join the Ditcheat-based Sales Administration team.

The position requires you to attend our site in Wellington once a week.

Purpose of the position:



Tasked with supporting the Credit Controller with optimising the full credit lifecycle of a diverse global debtor portfolio, the main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

The core function and scope of the Credit Control Assistant is to: -



Diligently monitor outstanding balances, aging reports and cash-collection targets to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), ensuring timely payments.

Proactively engage with debtors via email, telecoms and virtual meetings to provide for smooth debt recovery and dispute resolution.

Support the Credit Controller with the administration of a multi-currency debtor portfolio, ensuring accurate ledger postings that reflect bank account entries, and month-end close.

Maintain accurate and well-managed credit accounts within the ERP system, providing timely administration for general account information, credit limit revisions, and hold/release statuses.

Support the Credit Controller with debtor trend analysis, preparing regular management reports and insights for senior leadership.

Liaise with existing and future credit insurance agencies, ensuring regular and timely notifications and adherence to credit insurance policy conditions to avoid non-conformance.

Prepare and send monthly statements to credit customers.

Assist in resolving payment disputes and queries.

Remain flexible and responsive to any changes in duties that may be required from time to time to ensure the smooth operation of the business and the wider group.

Regular weekly travel to other sites within the Barber's Group.

Mandatory - To carry out any other work or task determined to be within your level of competence, to meet the needs of the business.

Training/Qualifications:



Essential



Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable



A minimum of one year's experience in a similar role(s) ideally in the food, drink or FMCG sector

Strong knowledge and understanding of a multi-currency export sales and distribution environment.

Skills/Aptitude:



Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with accounting software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,500.00-27,000.00 per year
