Mainline Products who are part of VJ Technology Ltd are currently recruiting for a
Credit Control & Customer Excellence Administrator to join their friendly team based in Silverdale Enterprise park in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Working hours are 40 per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Your purpose



Responsibility for managing debts owed by creditors and overseeing operations necessary for resolving customer debt repayment and completing banking processes and administration. Supporting the sales and customer service team with customer issues and orders through telephone calls, emails online platforms.

Your day-to-day role



Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received on time Chase overdue invoices via phone, email and written correspondence Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts Investigate and resolve invoice queries and disputes promptly Assess and review customer credit limits and payment terms Prepare regular aged debt reports and cash flow forecasts Liaise with sales, customer service and finance teams to resolve issues Place accounts on stop or escalate for legal action where necessary Maintain accurate records in line with company procedures Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and relevant regulations Organise workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks Supervise and coordinate the daily activities and operations of the office, including Sales Administration Ensuring relevant databases/Sage are up to date Maintain a pleasant and secure working environment Receive complaints, resolve problems and order investigations Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos and presentations Purchasing office supplies, equipment, and furniture Overseeing the maintenance of office facilities and equipment Coordinating and managing appointments, meetings and the conference room schedule to prevent duplicate bookings To evaluate the credit situation of a customer to identify debtors and credit level Opening account for new customers Ensure customer invoices are raised in a timely and accurate manner Maintain a tight control on cash flow and bad debts Approve weekly supplier payment runs in preparation for BACS payments To provide relevant documents to sales when required To fulfil any contractual requirement towards the designated credit insurer Conducting the bank reconciliation on a daily basis Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure proper management of debt Carry out business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations Monitor payment history to identify changes in reparation and take necessary actions Ensure prompt reply to customers and internal feedback Requesting Proof of Delivery (POD) and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) information from suppliers Working closely with sales and operations liaison daily Understanding personal and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and goals.

Skills you possess:



Proven experience as a credit controller or relevant role Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs Experience of handling a varied workload Sound decision making and judgment Strong IT literacy, especially knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sage accounting packages A passion for great customer service and an ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Special Considerations



Whilst it is envisaged that the role operates Monday to Friday there may be a requirement for occasional weekend work.

Pay: Up to 29,000.00 per year
