Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller that has substantial experience in wholesale food service to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining healthy cash flow. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

Manage the credit control process from start to finish, including invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients regarding their accounts. Conduct regular credit checks on clients and assess their creditworthiness. Liaise with the accounts payable team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments. Prepare reports on aged debtors and provide insights for management on cash flow forecasts. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and support business objectives. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for effective tracking and reporting of accounts receivable.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role in wholesale food service background is essential. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of financial principles and practices related to credit management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Pay: 19,286.06-30,000.00 per year
