About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Credit Control and Accounts person to join our team. In this role you will be essential in managing customer accounts, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, and maintaining the integrity of sensitive financial data. You'll work closely with multiple departments to keep payments on track, proactively resolve issues and support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and follow credit control procedures to minimise late payments and bad debts.
Maintain the sales ledger daily with accurate and timely data entry.
Process invoices (daily for exports, weekly for UK customers) and prepare monthly statements.
Oversee the shared accounts email inbox, ensuring bounced messages are identified and addressed.
Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and precision in line with PCIS and GDPR.
Collaborate effectively with teams such as Sales, Customer Service, Export, Stock Control, and Management Accounts to ensure timely payments.
Support ad-hoc administrative duties and assist with document distribution across departments.
What We're Looking For:
Strong numerical skills with proven experience applying them in previous roles.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage sensitive information responsibly.
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment, remain calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.
A strong communicator who can be empathetic, yet assertive when required.
Previous experience in credit control or finance administration is an advantage, but not essential training will be provided.
IT proficient (Microsoft Word and Excel) and comfortable using computer systems, entering data accurately and working with large data sets.
