The Role

We are actively seeking an experienced Credit Controller with at least 2 years experience in this field. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and able to communicate effectively and professionally with our clients and their co-workers.
The successful candidate will work as part of our Finance Team and will be based at our East Office Location in Whitburn, West Lothian.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors.
Ensuring customers make payment within agreed payment terms.
Generating monthly statements, first letters and final demands and ensuring these are checked and sent out within the agreed timescale.
Dealing with customers professionally by phone, letter, and e-mail.
Passing accounts for external debt collection when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all activity.
Taking card payments over the phone.
Setting up payment plans when required.
Candidate Specification
Full training will be provided; however, the successful candidate is required to have the following attributes:
Experience of working in a similar Accounts Administrator or Credit Control role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
Professional Telephone Manner.
Good Numeracy and accurate Data Entry Skills.
Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written).
Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others.
Exceptional organisational skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise effectively, perform under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Positive attitude.
Commitment to deliver to meet the needs of the business.
Desirable Skills
Experience of working with SAGE Accounts software, Sage 50 and Credit Hound
Before commencing employment, the successful candidate will be required to complete the company employee vetting procedure.
