As a Credit controller, you'll play a key role in maintaining the company's financial health. You'll be responsible for managing customer credit and collections, ensuring timely payments, minimising overdue accounts, and supporting strong customer relationships. Your work will directly contribute to our cash flow, stability, and continued growth.

Day to Day



Manage and evaluate new customer credit applications, assessing risk and setting appropriate credit limits in line with company policy.

Proactively manage and recover outstanding debts to maintain strong cash flow and minimise overdue balances.

Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve invoice or payment issues promptly.

Prepare and present regular debtor and credit risk reports to the finance team and management.

Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, handling payment queries and negotiating repayment plans with tact and diplomacy.

Identify opportunities to streamline credit control processes and contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function.

Liaise with legal partners where necessary to support the recovery of aged debt through formal proceedings.

What will you bring?



Proven experience in a credit control or similar finance role.

Solid understanding of credit risk management and financial processes.

Experience within the renewable energy or utilities sector (advantageous but not essential).

Working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems.

Knowledge of credit control regulations and debt recovery processes.

Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Organised and able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset.
