Are you seeking a short-term role where you can make an immediate impact? We are offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join our high-performing team in Caerphilly on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
This role is ideal if you are between positions, looking for project-based work or keen to apply your credit control expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
About the Role
At DS Smith, we partner with customers worldwide to meet their packaging needs. Our Credit Controllers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our operations by safeguarding our debtor investment and maintaining healthy cash flow.
In this role, you will:Take ownership of a defined portfolio of customer accounts Manage collections in line with group credit policies and procedures Proactively chase overdue balances and reduce aged debt Investigate and resolve invoice queries promptly Ensure accounts are accurately reconciled and maintained Report results and progress against agreed targets to senior stakeholders

About You
Essential Skills & Experience:Proven track record in B2B credit control and debt collection Demonstrable success in reducing aged debt and resolving disputes Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and data analysis skills Confident using finance systems, ideally including Excel and SAP Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to improving credit processes

Desirable:Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment Exposure to a Shared Service Centre setting
