McEwan Fraser Legal is an award-winning Solicitor and Estate Agency known for its innovation and outstanding customer service. With numerous industry accolades, we are a dynamic and modern firm specialising in residential and commercial property sales alongside a robust legal department covering conveyancing, private client, family law, and litigation.

We are seeking a confident, motivated individual to take ownership of debt recovery within our finance function. This is a standalone role, with support from the cashroom where required, but full autonomy for chasing and managing outstanding debt.

The role can be full-time or part-time, provided core responsibilities are met and deadlines are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage and follow up on outstanding client balances Send payment reminders via email, letter, and telephone Negotiate and agree repayment terms Refer unresolved debts to our internal court debt recovery process Receive and allocate payments Maintain accurate financial records and client files Prepare cash statements and reconcile accounts Report regularly to management on progress

What We're Looking For:

Confident communicator (written and verbal) Calm and professional under pressure High attention to detail Self-motivated and able to manage own workload Comfortable working to targets Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role Cashroom experience helpful but not essential

Hours and Salary:

Core hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm Part-time hours considered, based on workload Starting salary negotiable depending on experience
