Since 2010, National Gas has excelled in the Energy Industry as an independent gas supplier for both domestic and commercial properties. Operating in the heart of Canary Wharf, National Gas are looking to develop our team with an additional Debt Collection Agent to further assist with our Credit Control Department.
The purpose of this role is to assist with the collection of outstanding debt from customers.
The key roles and responsibilities of this position include the following:
Communicating with customers both over the telephone and email with the aim of collecting outstanding debt from their accounts
Establishing a payment plan with customers that are best suited to their account details and financial overview
Taking payments over the phone from customers
Aiding with the creation of a new administration process for Debt Collection
Drafting emails and letters to send to customers to discuss their account balances and debt
Aiding our Legal team with accounts that have progressed to legal action
The idyllic candidate for this role will have the following qualities:
Experience of handling customer disputes in a professional setting
Experience of liaising with a wide range of stakeholders
A good level of computer literacy, ideally with Microsoft Office experience
A proactive approach to problem solving and ability to gather information effectively
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills
